Professional repairers want to have traceable and high-quality recovered parts for vehicles on the point of salvage.
Our aim is to organize this recovery chain for quality second-hand spare parts by pooling stocks of several ELVs to increase the number of part references available. This ambition has become a reality with the ICARRE95 programme, creating a system which already meets the needs of several hundred customers in the professional repair sector. Similarly, the materials recovery chains organized by INDRA contribute to better recovery of ELVs, from both an ecological and economic perspective.

The re-use of vehicle components is the most efficient way of making use of this source of approximately 12 million vehicles destroyed a year in the European Union. RENAULT offers re-used parts for the repair of vehicles in use. This service, currently unique among vehicle manufacturers, complements the more traditional range of standard new and replacement parts. It represents a sales argument, since it allows repair using a part offering a lifespan corresponding to that of the vehicle being repaired, at an acceptable cost. This extends vehicles' useful life, by avoiding them being declared economically irreparable.

Our objective is to improve our network's performance, help it to achieve the regulatory objectives in force, while offering solutions ensuring the economic stability of their companies, particularly with the sale of second-hand spare parts and materials. INDRA's national positioning allows it to structure the market, for example in the case of private customers' ELVs via the website "goodbye-car.com" or the trade in second-hand spare parts via the "PRECIS" system, dedicated to professionals, developed as part of the ICARRE95 project.

We made significant investments in our site in 2012 :
- Industrial deconstruction process (depollution, dismantling of second-hand spare parts and recovery of materials). Investments to comply with regulations relating to levels of ELV recovery and recycling while respecting employee working conditions.
- Computerization of traceability of vehicles and second-hand spare parts with the creation of dedicated storage.
The economic stability of our business line involves the recovery of materials resulting from dismantling but also primarily through the sale of second-hand spare parts. Our profession is now at the heart of the circular economy and contributes to respect for the environment.

Ets Billaud was founded 48 years ago and has been a family company for three generations.
The previous site complied with regulations but I wanted to develop the traceability and storage of second-hand spare parts which are vital to the economic stability and positive image of our profession. The grinder's recovery rate should now allow us to achieve our performance target of 95% recycling and recovery.
