PRECIOUS METALS

Platinum group metals – PGM platinum, rhodium and palladium – are essentially found in catalytic converters and particulate filters. In light of the value of these metals, a market has emerged to respond to supply and demand but there is no well-structured collection or treatment industry in France. These industries are located outside France: in Germany, Belgium, Italy and Great Britain, the major companies involved being UMICORE, BASF, DUESMANN and INVEMET. RENAULT has partnered with DUESMANN & HENSEL RECYCLING.
